Ran into an old timer at a supply house in Nashville back in 2016 who changed how I hang board forever.

Started to realize most of these old school tricks work way better than anything they teach in the training videos these days...

That 90 day trial period companies push on you, turns out that was originally designed as a break-in period for analog systems back in the 80s, not a modern software commitment.

My brother was actually working at a tech company back in 1986 when that 90 day trial thing started for their new computer systems. The idea was to let the hardware run for three months to work out any factory defects or bugs before the customer paid full price. But @zara_sanchez, I think the modern software world just borrowed the number because it felt safe and familiar, not because it actually fits the product. These days most software updates come out every few weeks, so a 90 day trial is way too long for something that could be completely different by day 30. It seems like old business habits die hard even when they don't make sense anymore.
