Gutted my GameCube controller trying to swap the joystick and broke the ribbon cable
Was replacing the thumbstick on my GameCube pad in my basement last night, slipped with the spudger and tore the Z button ribbon clean off. Anyone know a good fix for these fragile cables or should I just hunt down another used controller?

Four drops of super glue is wild but actually that's kinda genius for a quick repair. I'd be scared of it wicking up into the switch or getting too thick though, maybe try some kapton tape to hold the contacts in place first and then a really thin layer of glue on top.
