Turns out my rush to swap parts was just wasting time and money

Honestly, I had this bad habit where if a device acted up, I'd instantly think a component was dead. Tbh, ordering new chips and capacitors felt like progress. After I replaced a whole board only to find a cracked solder joint, it hit me. Now I force myself to inspect every solder point and trace first, and my part costs have dropped big time. Ngl, feeling pretty silly for not doing this years ago.

Except the cracked joint was the part.

Oh man, I used to be so quick to blame the parts too. Reading this actually makes me want to slow down and check the simple stuff first. It's a good reminder not to skip the basics.

Totally, it's crazy how often it ends up being a loose wire or a bad setting. I've wasted so much time swapping out hardware when the fix was right there in front of me. That moment you realize you made it way harder than it needed to be is the worst. Now my first step is always to retrace my steps from the very beginning, no matter how obvious it seems.

Like that time I spent an hour troubleshooting only to realize I never plugged the dang thing in. My stubbornness to avoid checking the obvious is basically a superpower at this point.
