Spent two hours on a simple quarter crack because I missed the nail clinch
Had a horse come in with a small crack on the inside quarter. I prepped it, filled it, and thought I was done in 20 minutes. The owner called back two days later saying the shoe was loose. Went back out and found I had missed the clinch on the medial nail because the foot was so upright. Had to pull the shoe, reset the nail, and do the whole job over. Anyone else get tricked by a foot angle like that?

Missed clinches are the worst, reminds me of ray173's old truck filter.

My old truck's oil filter is in a spot that makes me miss the gasket every single time.

That used to drive me nuts until I started using a big zip-lock bag.

Oh man, that sounds like a special kind of torture. I can just picture the oil dripping down your arm for the tenth time. Did the engineers who designed that spot ever actually try to change the filter themselves? The zip-lock bag trick is a lifesaver for messy jobs like that. It's one of those simple fixes you feel dumb for not figuring out sooner.
