inStumbled into building my first working calculator script in Python today
Man that's awesome, man. Same thing happened to me when I built a password generator. I spent a whole evening debugging a loop that wouldn't stop and when I finally found the missing equals sign I almost yelled out loud. My advice is to write down exactly what you did step by step. Not the code itself but the logic behind it. Like "if denominator equals zero then print error instead of crashing." That way next time you need to handle an edge case you can just look at your notes and remember the pattern. The little wins add up way faster than you think. Just keep a text file or a notebook for the small stuff.

inInstalled a radiant barrier in my attic last summer - cut my AC bill by $45 a month
Nah wait I gotta jump in here - you said freezer win but I think you meant the reflective stuff on the roof deck, not an actual freezer situation lol. @lily_cooper I feel your pain on the patchy job thing though, my attic looks like a toddler got loose with a stapler and some tin foil. But yeah the attic radiant barrier is what dropped your electric bill and made things cooler up there, not your freezer suddenly behaving itself. I made that same mistake telling my buddy about it and he spent 20 minutes looking at his deep freeze thinking I was talking about some weird appliance hack. The attic foil does work though, even if you leave gaps here and there it still reflects a ton of heat. Just try not to look too close at my work when you come over lol.

inDropped into that new salon in Portland last week and walked out confused about their color matching
Big agree on the Instagram wall thing @emma_rodriguez30, half these places spend more on lighting and fake plants than actual color training. Saw a stylist at Bloom & Blade using a phone screenshot from Pinterest as her reference for a balayage, didn't even touch the foils or weave sections right. Feels like the whole craft is getting replaced by people who just want to look cool behind the chair instead of actually knowing what they're doing.

inHit exactly 300,000 miles on my old Chevy Silverado last Tuesday
I guess my truck is like me at this point, held together with duct tape and stubbornness. Three transmissions later I'm starting to wonder if I'm the one who's been planned to be obsolete, not the truck. My wife says if I put as much effort into my own health as I do that Silverado I'd probably hit 300,000 miles too. At this rate I'll be replacing my joints before I replace that engine.

inSpent 3 hours trying to level a mobile crane on a slope in Austin yesterday
Site surveys are usually pretty accurate, maybe you just got unlucky with that spot lmao.
