My polar alignment fight that ate up a whole night

I was trying to image the Andromeda Galaxy from my backyard last weekend and thought my polar alignment was close enough. Spent three hours taking 5-minute subs only to find every single one had star trails. The whole process of redoing the alignment, checking the mount, and tweaking the guide scope took me until 3 AM. I finally got it sorted, but I lost my whole imaging window. Has anyone else had a simple alignment mistake ruin a planned session like that?

I was sure those LED light therapy wands were just a fad

A client brought her own in for a facial last week, insisting we use it, and I saw her rosacea calm down visibly in about 15 minutes. Has anyone else had a client's personal gadget actually work out okay?

My brother made a point about the Voynich Manuscript that got me thinking

Honestly, I was telling him about how it's probably just a fake, like a lot of people say. He asked me why someone in the 1400s would spend so much time and money on a fake book with hundreds of pages of complex, unique drawings and script if there was no buyer or reason for it. That hit different because it made the 'hoax' idea seem way less simple. Has anyone else found a common theory about a mystery that just doesn't add up when you look at the basic effort involved?
