Can we talk about those 'haul' videos where they say a dress is only $12

Honestly, I saw one where the creator bought 15 items for under $200 total and called it a win, but then I looked up the brand's factory reports from Dhaka. Ngl, the math only works if the people making it are paid next to nothing, which the report confirmed. Has anyone else tried to actually trace where one of those super cheap items came from?

A documentary I watched showed the real cost of those prices is passed to the workers. It focused on the unsafe conditions in some of those factories. The cheap price tag suddenly makes a lot of sense, and not in a good way.

Come on, every documentary picks the worst examples to make a point. Most places probably aren't that bad.

Yeah that "real cost" thing is everywhere now, like how all the cheap stuff at the dollar store just falls apart after two uses.
