Used to buy those $5 Shein haul tops without blinking, now I check every single fabric blend label.
Woke up with a rash after wearing one that was 100% polyester and no breathability at all. Anyone else notice how much more synthetic trash is in these cheap hauls compared to just 3 years ago?

One polyester shirt probably isn't making that big a difference.

Okay but even ONE polyester shirt adds microplastics to the wash cycle every single time you clean it. Those fibres don't just disappear, they end up in the water system and eventually back in our food chain. So yeah, one shirt might feel like nothing, but multiply that by millions of people doing laundry every week and it's a real problem. Plus polyester doesn't breathe at all, so if you're doing anything active in it you're basically wearing a trash bag - not great for your skin either.

Well, one polyester shirt probably won't make a difference, but three years of sweaty skin definitely will.
