The time a cashier in Fresno handed me a completely empty bag

I went through the drive-thru at a burger place on Blackstone Avenue last Tuesday and paid for a full meal. When I got to the window, the guy just smiled, said 'Have a nice day!', and handed me a warm, empty paper bag. Has anyone else ever gotten a bag with literally nothing in it?

Remember reading a story about a guy who got an empty pizza box from a delivery place. It seems like a weird brain glitch that happens when someone's on total autopilot. Your warm, empty bag is a new classic for that.

Oh man, that's it exactly. It's like the autopilot short-circuits and completes the action but skips the whole point. You see it everywhere, like when someone pours orange juice on their cereal. The muscle memory for "breakfast liquid" fires, but the brain's just... checked out. We're all one bad day away from handing someone a warm, empty bag.

Is this really a brain glitch though?
