A chat with my plumber about flower pricing really stuck with me
He was fixing a leak in my shop last week and saw a big order I was working on. He asked how much it cost, and when I told him $350, he just nodded and said, 'My wife would pay that. She says your flowers last twice as long as the grocery store ones.' I've always worried about pricing myself out, but hearing it from someone totally outside the business hit different. Made me think maybe we undersell the value of our skill and fresh product. How do you guys explain your pricing to customers who might not get it?

Ever think a plumber would be the one to get it?

Right? It's always the people you least expect... my car mechanic explained the whole thing to me better than any news article did. He just saw how all the pieces fit together, you know? Makes you wonder who else is quietly figuring it out.

Yeah, those guys see how things actually work every day. Trust the hands-on people over the talking heads.
