That time a delivery van broke down with a full wedding order in July
I was on my way to a venue in Charlotte with a huge arch piece and all the centerpieces, and the van just stopped on the highway. I mean, it was 95 degrees out. I had to call a friend with a pickup truck and we moved everything over, but some of the hydrangeas got pretty sad in the heat. What's your go-to plan when a delivery goes sideways like that?

What do you do for backup transport, like do you have a specific person on call? I keep a couple coolers with ice packs in my personal car just in case, so if I have to make a quick switch I can at least get the most sensitive stuff into some cool air fast.

Honestly that cooler in your car is a solid plan for emergencies. I tried having a person on call once and it fell apart when my cousin forgot his phone on a fishing trip. Holly_thompson98 has the right idea keeping a backup right in the work van, because you can't always count on people. Tbh I do a mix now, a small cooler in my van and a bigger one in my garage just in case. It just takes one bad day to ruin a whole load.

Relying on a person seems risky if they're not around. I keep a prepacked backup cooler in my work van itself, so it's always right there with the load. That way I don't waste time moving things between vehicles.
