Why do gadget reviews never mention kid-proofing?

I mean, after my toddler broke another remote, I checked reviews and none covered durability. Maybe it's just me but that's a big deal for families.

Seriously! I could write a book on this. My living room is basically a gadget graveyard thanks to my kids. You'd think I'd learn, but I keep buying stuff that shatters if you look at it wrong. It's like reviewers live in child-free bubbles where nothing ever gets dropped in applesauce.

Man, tell me about it. @rileyprice, you're so right. Everything these days is built to break. Reviewers live in a bubble where nothing gets messy. My cousin's kids have a graveyard of broken remotes and tablets. It's like companies design things for showrooms, not for homes with actual people. When will they get that stuff needs to survive a toddler?

Look, some reviewers do test for drops and spills, but it's often buried in specialty content. Regular reviews just assume a perfect world, which sucks for parents.
