Frustrated by our word-for-word match during conversation

I was having lunch with a friend and talking about our days. We both said the exact same odd sentence at the same moment without planning it. Is this a common glitch or just a random thing?

Got the same thing happening with my brother all the time. It's not a glitch, just means you're on the same wavelength. You spend enough time with someone, you start sharing brain cells. Your brains process stuff the same way and pick the same weird words. It's a little spooky but also kind of nice. Makes you feel connected.

Last year, my roommate and I kept picking the same weird words. I see it as more about chance than sharing brain cells. Our brains might just latch onto popular phrases or memories we both have.
