Remembering that one crazy week in 2018 when the salon's water heater broke for 3 days straight.
We had to wash every single client's hair with water heated in kettles and coffee urns, and honestly, the teamwork and laughs we got through it made me miss the old-school, problem-solving side of the job that you don't see as much now.

I can picture the line of kettles and coffee urns plugged in behind the chairs. That sounds like a scene from a sitcom, but I bet the water temperature was a total guessing game for three days. You must have had some very patient clients with slightly odd smelling hair, depending on which pot you used. Honestly, that kind of chaos builds more team spirit than any corporate retreat ever could.

Pro tip: label the pots with tape next time, lol. We used a sharpie on the cord for "hot" and "lukewarm". Still smelled like old coffee but at least we knew what we were getting into.

My buddy's shop had a power outage once. They used a camping stove to heat water in a big soup pot.
