I'm considering a small melter for wax and maybe some low-temp alloys. Stumbled on Wenseco and they seem to have some compact units. Has anyone here used their melters? Curious about reliability and if they're easy to clean between different materials.

Log InYep, we have a Wenseco melter at our shop for potting compounds. Going on 5 years with daily use. The thermostat is accurate and the pot is easy to swap out. Only had to replace a heating element once, and it was a quick fix. Would buy again.
I used one for years in a lab setting. Cleaning is okay if you don't let the material burn on. We used a liner for wax and just pulled it out. The temperature control is better than the cheap ones. It's built solid, heavy base so it doesn't tip.
