Hot take: Tiny house builds focus on size, but the packaging waste from all those custom parts is huge.

Ugh, that reminds me of my friend's custom butcher block countertop. It showed up in this giant plywood crate filled with foam, just for one piece. The countertop was gorgeous but we spent an hour breaking down the packing material.

An hour just to unpack it?

Packing that intense always seems overkill for one item. Those foam bits cling to everything and plywood crates are a beast to take apart. Spending an hour on cleanup after unboxing something beautiful is such a letdown. What did you end up doing with all the scrap material?
