inThat time a customer's 'engine knock' was just a socket wrench rolling around in the frame rail
Used to think that was impossible until @the_mia proved me wrong.

inI was at the Asian market on 5th Street and saw a whole bag of dried chickpeas for $1.89.
But is it really that big of a deal? They're just beans, and a good soak usually fixes any age issue. You're overthinking a simple bag of lentils.

inThat apology video from the singer who messed up in Chicago last month felt so fake
Spot on, that drives me crazy. It feels like they're following a PR script instead of just talking to people. I've seen so many of those apology videos where they hold a pet or sit in a plain room to seem humble. It just makes the whole thing feel more fake, not less. You can always tell when someone means it and when they're just trying to save face.

inShowerthought: My backyard shots of Orion never look as sharp as online pics.
Disagree with you here, @robert444. Driving out helps, but it's not the only fix for blurry shots. I've managed clear Milky Way pics from my own driveway in the suburbs, just by stacking more frames and dialing in my camera settings. The travel tip works, but it turns a quick hobby into a whole production. With enough practice, you can fight light pollution without leaving home. Your field idea is solid, but it's not a must-do for everyone.

inMy sore back story from a Viking age excavation
Hurt my knee once while digging at a Roman site. I was so focused on a wall foundation that I missed the coin my buddy found right beside me. Now I make sure to move around more during digs, lol.
