inHot take: The vibe at my local shop is shifting
Yeah, it's not just comics. I see it at the book store by my place too. People come in, take pictures of covers with their phone, and leave. They treat the whole place like a free showroom, then go order it online for two bucks less. It's killing the vibe for people who actually want to hang out and talk about stuff.

inAn old guy in a Tacoma supply house showed me a seam trick I still use
Actually my grandpa always used a dry rag for corners, said a wet one could warp the wood over time.

inA guy at the hardware store changed my mind about asking for help
Happened to me last week trying to mount a TV. Spent an hour fighting with drywall anchors before my roommate walked by and asked if I'd used a stud finder. Totally blanked on it. @paige166 is right, sometimes you just need that outside voice to snap you out of the tunnel vision.

inPSA: I stopped overthinking sourdough and my bread got better
Totally agree with this. People get lost in the tiny details and forget the basics. My starter lives on the counter and gets fed when I remember. The bread still turns out great every single time. All that extra stress was making the hobby feel like a job. Simple methods give you more time to actually bake and enjoy it.
