Ran into the guy from that 'planking' meme at a gas station in Omaha

I was getting gas about two years ago and saw him working the register. I asked if he was the same person, and he just sighed and said 'Yeah, that was me. Got 15 minutes of fame and now I'm here.' He looked tired and said the only thing he got from it was people still asking him to plank at parties. What happens to people when their one viral moment is over and they're just stuck with it? Anyone know someone else who had a weird internet fame that didn't last?

Man that's so rough. I always wonder about the "cash me outside" girl, she got a whole TV deal but now it seems like she's just back to normal life? It must be weird having your biggest moment be a joke you didn't even mean to start. I feel like most of them just want to be left alone after a while, but the internet never forgets lol. That guy probably just wants to sell gas in peace.

Yeah, the best move is to just ignore the comments and keep doing your thing... they'll get bored eventually.
