Shoutout to the vintage store owner in Austin who told me that FOMO reselling trend from 2021 was a bubble
Three years ago he showed me his unsold racks of beanie babies and said watch this happen to the Pokemon card flippers too, and now that same guy is sitting on stacks of graded cards nobody wants to buy.

The graded card market's actually up 40% from 2021 lows according to Beckett.

My cousin Mark actually just sold a PSA 10 1999 Charizard for $4,200 last month, which is wild because he bought it graded for $600 back in 2019. I remember him telling me about that 2021 dip, all the flippers were panicking and dumping inventory left and right. So Grace, when gracethomas mentions that 40% bounce back, it tracks with what I've been seeing at local card shows here in Ohio. The bubble definitely popped a bit but the legit collectors are still driving demand for the high grade stuff.
