That viral "instant flush" toilet cleaner destroyed my plumbing

Bought that TikTok famous foaming tablet everyone was raving about 8 months ago. Just had to pay $450 to a plumber in Denver to unclog my pipes because that stuff solidified into rock inside the trap. Anyone else had this nightmare?

Yeah, that's the kind of thing that just sticks with you. You try to move on but every now and then it pops back in your head. Hope things are at least starting to settle down for you now. Sometimes you just gotta shake it off and keep going, even when it feels impossible.

I'm on my second plumber visit in 6 months because of those same tablets. The first guy told me they use a chemical binder that doesn't break down in cold water pipes, just keeps getting harder over time. $450 is actually reasonable for Denver though, my guy in Portland charged me $620 and said he's seen five other houses with the same problem just this year. Those TikTok hacks are great until they cost you a mortgage payment.
