Vent: that 2019 'Storm Area 51' guy now sells life coaching for $97 a session
I fell down a rabbit hole last Tuesday and ended up on the Facebook page of the dude who made that Naruto run event in 2019. Event page says 2 million people said they were going, actual town of Rachel, Nevada has like 50 residents, and the whole thing fizzled into a mini festival with maybe a few thousand showing up. The wild part is his bio now, it says he does one on one calls for $97 and 'helps people unlock their moment.' I get why he'd try to cash in while the name still means something, but the page likes have gone from over a million to barely posting anything with real numbers. Has anyone watched one of these viral one hit wonder accounts actually turn it into a real thing, or do they all just quietly sell courses until nobody clicks?
That $97 price is the part that gets me, because someone doing real one on one calls with actual training charges way more than that. Dude rode a joke about raiding a base for like two weeks of fame in 2019 and now wants people to pay him to "unlock their moment" when his own moment was a Naruto run meme that went nowhere. Rachel, Nevada never got raided, nobody saw a UFO, the whole thing was a punchline. My real question is who is actually buying these calls, like is it people who think the event was real or just bored folks who want to talk to a guy they saw on the news once? And once that Facebook page drops below a certain number, does he just rebrand as some crypto guy or drop shipping guru? Feels like these viral accounts all follow the same script until the algorithm forgets them.
