Commissioned a local artist for my wedding invite and she used AI without telling me
Hired a painter in Denver last month to do custom watercolor invites for our wedding. Paid her $400 upfront and she sent me the files - looked pretty but something felt off. Zoomed in and saw the telltale wobbly lines and weird texture that AI art always has. When I asked she admitted she generated it with Midjourney and just tweaked the colors. Had to ask for a refund and scramble to find someone else. Anyone else run into artists hiding AI work in their commissions?

Yeah that "something felt off" is exactly what I notice with AI art in ads too.

Totally feel you on that. It's like your brain just knows something's not right even if you can't put your finger on it at first.
