Just realized AI art generators are trained on stolen hospital CT scans too

Last month I was looking up medical illustration references for a project and found out that some AI image models were trained on thousands of medical scans pulled from public hospital databases without permission. Three years ago I paid a medical illustrator $200 to draw a detailed heart diagram for a pamphlet I needed. Now anyone can type "human heart cross section" into an AI tool and get something close, but that illustrator lost work. Has anyone else run into this specific issue with medical or scientific art?
