My AI scheduling assistant double-booked me into two different time zones last week

I use a smart calendar tool that's supposed to auto-detect time zones for client calls, but last Tuesday it scheduled a 3pm meeting for someone in London and another at the same time for someone in Tokyo. I ended up missing both calls because I was halfway through the first one and the second person emailed me asking where I was. Has anyone else had AI calendars mess up time zone handling this badly?

echoing what mark_green said about the time mixups, it's the little things that get you. had my AI assistant once set a reminder for a client call at 4am on a Saturday because it somehow thought "morning" meant 4am. i showed up to my home office in my pajamas with coffee ready, only to realize the time was totally wrong. it's like these tools have zero common sense about actual human schedules. the time zone thing especially bugs me because it's such a basic thing to get right, yet here we are missing calls because some algorithm can't figure out UTC offsets.

Had Siri once booked my dentist appointment for 3am instead of 3pm.

Missed two calls because of a timezone mixup? Sounds like a pretty minor hiccup in the grand scheme. You could have just rescheduled. Maybe take five seconds to double check the times before you show up. People act like robots are supposed to be perfect, but they mess up basic stuff like this all the time.
