Shoutout to the speech AI that saved my grandma's attic stories

I was helping my grandma sort through old boxes in her attic. She kept pausing to tell me about her childhood. Years ago, I would just hear these tales and they would fade. This time, I used a free app on my phone that listens and writes down words. It picked up everything, even with her quiet voice. Now I have pages of her memories to share with the whole family. It feels different from just sitting and listening. But I like that we have a way to keep her stories alive for good.

Remember that apps often miss the little pauses and laughs.

Those missed bits totally change the tone of a conversation. It's why a written transcript can feel so cold compared to actually talking. The tech just strips out all the human stuff.

Lewis is right about the little pauses, but my app saved my grandpa's fishing tales (warts and all).
