A safety reminder from my air fryer parchment paper scare

I was cooking frozen fries (my go-to snack) with parchment paper for easy cleanup. The paper wasn't trimmed right, so it flew up and touched the heating element. I smelled something burning right away (it got my heart racing). Thankfully, I turned the air fryer off before anything worse happened. Now I always cut the paper to fit and weigh it down with food.

It's funny how we call it paranoia until something actually goes wrong. I see it all the time with small safety steps people skip, like not securing that parchment paper.
