Air fryer converted me after 5 years of oven roasting

Last month my neighbor brought over chicken wings she made in her air fryer and they were crispier than any I've ever done in my oven, so I bought one the next day and now I'm trying to figure out the best temp for frozen fries.

Heard a chef say air fryers are basically just small convection ovens on steroids lol.

My neighbor swore by her air fryer so much she tried to cook a whole chicken in it and set off the smoke detector at 2 AM, woke up the whole building! Now she just uses it for frozen french fries and pretends the chicken thing never happened.

My cousin got one for Christmas and honestly I think people need to chill about them. It's just hot air with a fan, not exactly rocket science. You can get the same results from a regular oven if you just crank it up and give it time. Everybody acts like their air fryer changed their whole life but it's basically a toaster oven that got too much caffeine.
