Why does nobody talk about how season 3 of that crime show fell apart

I was binging "The Bridge" on Hulu last night, got to season 3 episode 5 and something just broke. The whole plot went sideways, characters started acting weird and the pacing got all messed up. I ended up skipping to the finale just to see if it got better but it did not. Has anyone else had a show totally lose its magic partway through like that?

Used a compressed air duster backwards on a server rack - fried 3 drives instantly

I was cleaning out a client's rack in their office here in Austin last Tuesday and accidentally held the duster can upside down. Liquid shot out and shorted three SAS drives in their NAS before I could even react. Lost about 2TB of data but luckily they had a backup from the night before. Anyone else ever make this dumb mistake or have a story about using canned air wrong?

Debate: Should dubs or subs get the credit for making anime mainstream?

I’ve been watching anime since 2015, and I swear subs are the only way to catch the real emotion. But my buddy from college says dubbed shows like DBZ on Toonami back in the 90s built the whole fanbase here. Which side actually did the heavy lifting? I’ve seen arguments about accessibility vs. accuracy, so what do you all think?

Tried using a hot air rework station on an old motherboard and melted a capacitor next to the chip

I was trying to remove a BIOS chip from a Dell OptiPlex 790 board to flash it for a repair. Set the temp to 350c and aimed the nozzle at the chip, but the cap right next to it just bubbled and popped off. Learned the hard way that Kapton tape is not optional for tight spaces. Anyone else have a close call with hot air damaging nearby parts?

That clipper adjustment I made at a shop in Nashville changed my whole technique

I was visiting a buddy's barbershop in Nashville last spring and watched him fix a guy's fading blend that looked awful. He just tweaked the lever angle on his Magic Clips mid stroke and it smoothed right out. I always thought you needed a whole different blade gap or something to fix those harsh lines. Has anyone else picked up a simple trick from watching another barber work that totally shifted how you cut?

Can we talk about the advice my friend gave on pacing anime arcs?

My buddy Nate told me to skip the filler arcs in Naruto because they're a waste of time. I watched about 20 episodes of filler in the middle of Shippuden before I took his advice and skipped straight to the canon stuff. Now I actually see the pacing was dragging me down and I finished the main story in like 3 weeks. Has anyone else regretted sticking through filler just because of peer pressure?

Last month I tried shooting the Milky Way from my backyard in Phoenix and got nothing but orange glow

I live in downtown Phoenix where the light pollution is brutal, and I spent an hour trying to get a decent shot of the Milky Way with my Canon Rebel T7. All I got was this washed out orange mess in every frame. Does anyone have a cheap filter or editing trick that works for urban astrophotography?

Picked a hostel over a cheap hotel in Barcelona and it saved me way more than I thought

I was booking my trip to Barcelona last month and had to choose between a $30/night hostel and a $50/night budget hotel. I went with the hostel because it had free walking tours and a shared kitchen. Ended up saving $140 over a week and met a group that split a paella cooking class with me. Has anyone else found hostels actually cheaper than hotels when you add up all the extras?

I finally picked hand digging over the auger for a tricky corner lot job

So I had this big corner lot job in a tight residential area last month. The ground was full of old roots and buried irrigation lines from the 90s. I was going back and forth on renting a mini auger for $150 a day or just doing it by hand with my clamshell digger. Decided to go old school hand digging because I knew the auger would get hung up on every root and probably bust a pipe. It took me about 6 hours total for 20 holes, but I didn't damage anything and the homeowner was thrilled I didn't tear up her yard. Has anyone else had augers cause more headaches than they saved in a spot like that?

I dropped $40 on a set of mildliner highlighters for my weekly spread

They don't bleed through my 120gsm paper at all, which is a huge win. Has anyone found a cheaper brand that works just as well?
