My first attempt at air fryer chicken wings went wrong but I fixed it

I threw frozen wings in at 400 for 20 minutes. They came out rubbery and sad. Tried patting them dry and tossing in baking powder instead. Second batch at 375 for 25 minutes with a shake halfway. Crispy like actual fried wings. Anyone else have a wing fail they saved?

Ugh come ON, is a slightly crispy wing really worth all this science? You dried them, baked them, shook them, checked the temp three times... just eat the rubbery ones and move on with your life. I swear people treat chicken wings like some kind of rocket fuel experiment. Next you'll be telling me you used a hygrometer to check the humidity in your kitchen before frying. It's a frozen mince-meat snack, not a Michelin star dish.

Patting dry and a little cornstarch worked like magic for me.
