Update: My chicken wings were always soggy until I saw a comment about cornstarch
I've been making wings in my air fryer for months and they never got that crispy skin I wanted, just kind of soft and chewy. A random comment on a YouTube video for a different recipe mentioned tossing them in a tablespoon of cornstarch before cooking. Tried it last night with some frozen party wings, and wow, total game changer. They came out super crispy, almost like they were fried. Anyone else have a simple trick like this that actually works?

Ever try that with potato wedges? I was in the same boat with soggy home fries until my brother told me to soak the cut potatoes in ice water for like an hour before baking. It pulls out so much starch and they get crazy crispy on the outside without burning.

Honestly, it's just chicken wings at the end of the day. People act like a cooking hack is some life changing event, but it's still the same food. Who has time to worry about cornstarch levels?
