Push back a little here - 6 hours for a Honda swap means you're either skipping critical steps or you've got the process memorized to the point where it's less a swap and more a robot routine.

Oh wow, yeah I used to just eyeball it with stems and hope for the best. I mean I always thought soaking them overnight was overkill, like why bother if they're fresh. But then I had a big arrangement for a funeral and half the flowers were droopy by the next morning, it was a mess. I guess it really depends on the kind of rock and how deep the water can get in the cracks around it. That Boulder sandstone might be more forgiving than granite in that way.
