Snap-on guy rolled through the hangar last Tuesday. Spent $250 on a new 1/4 ratchet.

My old Craftsman finally gave up after 8 years. The snap-on feels way smoother. But man, $250 for a ratchet? That stung. Anyone else feel like you gotta pay the tax just to work on these planes?

Stick with it long enough and that $250 starts feeling like it paid for itself in frustration saved. The tool truck tax is real, but those ratchets do hold up better on the line.

Man that first spin of a new Snap-on ratchet is something else though, right? I remember dropping $200 on a 3/8 flex head a few years back and telling myself I'd never do it again lol. But here we are. The worst part is when you're under a dash or up on a stand and that cheap one either skips or just locks up on you. That $250 tax hurts in the moment but it beats having to bum a tool off the new guy during a rush. Solid buy honestly.
