Spent $400 on a premium torque wrench set from Snap-on. Huge mistake.

Thought I was being smart buying the Snap-on set for the lifetime warranty. But two months in the ratcheting mechanism jammed up on the 3/8 drive. Warranty process took three weeks and I lost a job at a regional airline in Ohio. Fellow mechanics swear by CDI torque wrenches for half the cost. Anyone else have brand loyalty backfire on them like this?

Three weeks for a warranty swap is actually pretty standard for Snap-on... my buddy had to wait five weeks for a replacement 1/2 drive.

Hang on, three weeks for a swap is definitely faster than what I've heard from other guys, usually it's closer to two months for Snap-on. Did you try calling their customer service line directly instead of going through the dealer?
