inTalked to an old timer about stucco curing in the heat
Yeah man, I've done this exact thing on a couple of jobs in the valley. That extra misting really helps with hydration cracks, especially when it's pushing 105 and the stucco is drying out way faster than it should. Stick with the old timer's advice, your finish will thank you.

inThat old timer told me to use thermal paste on avionics connectors, I laughed
WOAH yeah I totally agree on the tiny dab thing. I learned that the HARD way on a Cessna 172 years ago. Put too much thermal paste on a pitot-static connector and it actually got between the pin and socket and gave me a wonky airspeed reading on takeoff. Now I use a toothpick to apply it, just a little smear on each pin before pushing it together. It's been rock solid on my plane's EGT probes ever since.

inI had to pick between a cheap AI logo or paying a friend for my food truck
Fair point, it's just a logo. Not like you bought a new engine.

inCold plunges are just expensive ice baths. I don't get the hype.
honestly I've been doing the same thing for like a year now, a bag of ice from the corner store and my regular tub works fine. the whole filter thing is kind of a gimmick unless you're literally using the same water for weeks, just drain it after and you're good. save your money and buy a cheap thermometer if you're worried about temp, that's all you really need.

inOld timer on the dredge told me to stop babying the controls - still wonder if he was right
Wait hold on, has anyone checked what the equipment manual actually says? I mean, sometimes the old-timers forget that newer machines have different limits than the ones they ran in the 80s.
