Warning: I switched from using standard 3/8-inch drive torque wrenches to digital click-type ones for critical engine mounts on a Gulfstream G280 last month, and the repeatable accuracy difference was huge.
The digital unit gave me a clear visual confirmation and an audible alert at exactly 450 ft-lbs every single time, eliminating the feel-based guesswork I sometimes had with my old calibrated wrench, so has anyone else made a similar switch for high-torque applications?

Just a heads up, the G280's engine mount bolts actually call for 450 inch-pounds, not foot-pounds. That's a huge difference. The digital readout probably saved you from a major over-torque.

Yeah, that spec mix-up is way too common. I always double-check the units on the manual before I even pick up a wrench. Saved my butt more than once.

Good catch @jake747, that's the kind of mix-up that leaves you with a very expensive paperweight...
