Hardwired vs wireless panels for new builds - which way do you go?

I just finished a house where I used all wireless sensors to save time but the homeowner's signal kept dropping near the back gate. Do you guys stick with hardwired for reliability or take the speed of wireless and just deal with the occasional glitch?

one thing nobody's brought up yet is how wireless can actually affect your insurance rates. my buddy's an adjuster and he told me some carriers won't give their best discounts unless the system is fully hardwired. they see wireless as less reliable for true life safety stuff like smoke detectors. plus with a new build you already have the walls open, so running the wire is like maybe an extra day of labor versus spending way more time later troubleshooting signal drops. have you ever had a false alarm because of interference that cost you a fine?

Honestly I was all in on wireless for the speed until I had to eat a false alarm fine last year, that changed my whole view on it. @ward.anna makes a solid point about the insurance discounts too, I never even thought about that angle until now. If the walls are already open it's just dumb not to run the wire and save yourself the headache later.

Heard a similar story from a friend who lost money on a false alarm too.
