Chose the slower upload schedule over the viral spike, lost 40 subs in a day
Last month I posted a hot take on Tuesday with a clickbait header that hit 200k views, but the comments were pure garbage and the engagement was hollow, so I swapped back to my normal 3 careful posts a week and instead of growing, my follower count actually dipped from 1,120 to 1,080, has anyone else seen the algorithm punish consistency over drama?

That "hollow engagement" part is the real story here, and here's the angle I never see anyone bring up, the 40 subs you lost aren't random, they're probably the clickbait crowd from that viral post. Those 200k views pulled in people who subbed for the drama, not for you, and once you went back to normal posts they bailed because that's not what they signed up for. So you didn't get punished for consistency, you got cleaned out, and 1,080 real fans is worth more than 1,120 where 40 of them were just waiting for the next fight.
