Well actually it depends on the panel, some of them are super welcoming to newbie questions and it's more about how you asked it than what you asked. If you came across too confidently or phrased it like it was obvious, that might have been the real issue.

Yeah @lewis.brian you're probably right, I didn't think about how I mighta come off sounding like I already knew the answer.
