Shoutout to the guy who taught me to clean dryer vents with a leaf blower

Last summer in Phoenix I spent like 45 minutes fighting with my shop vac on a clogged dryer vent. Customer just watched me struggle then handed me his leaf blower. Told me to push it in from outside and blow everything out the other way. Worked way better than my vacuum and took maybe 3 minutes. Has anyone else tried this trick or got a better method for long vent runs?

Wait, you had a customer just hand you a leaf blower mid-job? That's wild. Man, I can't imagine what I'd do if someone watching me struggle just casually offered a leaf blower like it was no big deal. Bet that guy felt like a genius watching you blast out a clog in three minutes after you spent 45 on it. I've got a long run in my own place that drives me nuts, might have to try this before I pull my hair out.

That 45 minutes probably felt like an eternity of shame until the leaf blower saved the day though. Honestly I bet the customer was internally screaming "you're welcome" while trying to look polite about it. Nothing like having your ego saved by a tool you should have thought of yourself an hour ago.
