Update: That Frigidaire ice maker call in Tempe took me 4 hours yesterday

I mean, everyone says it's a quick fix, just swap the module. But this one had a cracked water inlet tube behind the freezer wall, and the diagnostic code was pointing to the motor. I had to pull the whole unit out and trace the line with a mirror. Has anyone else run into a hidden leak throwing off the whole system like that?

Was it the plastic elbow connector that cracked? Those things get brittle from the freeze-thaw cycles and can leak just enough to mess with the pressure. I've found that a slow leak there can trick the sensor into thinking there's a motor issue because it never gets a full fill signal.

My neighbor's sprinkler system had that exact problem last spring. The repair guy said those plastic elbows fail all the time in older setups.

Hidden leaks are the absolute worst, man.
