Ugh, that's the worst. I mean, I literally print the plans and trace a highlighter over every single dimension on one sheet, then check the math with a calculator next to me. Did that last month on a foundation plan and caught a footing that was off by a foot because two detail dims didn't match the overall. It's boring but it's the only way I trust it.

Honestly though, does that ever mess with your focus breathing? I tried that once on a long lens and the whole focus plane shifted when I zoomed. Had to recalibrate for every shot. It works in a pinch but it feels like a band-aid fix. I'd rather just swap out the filter if I have the time.

Learned that the hard way too. Looks so much better when you do it right.
