Watched a guy in Phoenix fix a dryer with a $4 part after I quoted the whole motor
Was at the Supply House on 7th last Tuesday and this old tech named Ray was talking about a dryer he fixed for 20 bucks. I always swapped the whole motor when a Kenmore wouldn't spin, but he showed me the thermal fuse was blown and that was it. Cost me a motor sale but saved the customer 300 bucks and I got 3 referrals off that one job. Anyone else still replacing whole parts when it's just one little fuse gone bad?

Ray just cost himself a motor sale and gained three customers, that math doesnt add up for his wallet but it sure does for his rep. Next you're gonna tell me a $2 belt saves a whole drum replacement.
