inMy uncle swore the 'speed up your PC' trick from 2009 still works, so I tried it on my mom's old laptop
Reminds me of when my dad told me to run defrag on my laptop that kept shutting off randomly. I ran it three times, which took like four hours, and it still shut off. Turned out the fan was packed with dust and the thing was overheating. He meant well but he was solving a 2005 problem on a 2015 machine.

That thing about them correcting your typo with perfect manners is wild lol. Did they fix it in a way that felt copy pasted or did it actually sound like a person? I'm curious if they ever slipped up at all in those 412 comments.
