Just cut down my 500th tree this week and the number hit me

It was a big oak in a client's yard in Springfield. Took all day. When I logged it, the app said 500 total jobs. Started thinking about all the wood chips, the saw fuel, the ropes. That's a lot of trees in five years. Makes you wonder about the real impact, you know? How do you guys track your work and does seeing a big number ever make you pause?

My first big job was clearing a lot for a new subdivision, about 150 pines. Back then it was just a job. Seeing that 500 number today, and reading what @emmamason said about every tree mattering, it really hit me. I started adding up the board feet from just the oaks and maples, and the number was huge. Makes you look at the pile of wood chips differently.

Honestly 500 trees is nothing compared to how many get planted every year. That's just basic land management work.

Consider the scale, @karen_carter. Every single tree planted matters for local wildlife and soil. Dismissing small efforts is how we got into this mess.
