inA client's kid in Portland asked me why I always start with the clippers, not the scissors, and honestly it stopped me cold.
So your grandpa was basically a ninja barber?

inBeen seeing a lot of people mess up the armhole drop on casual jackets
My old work jacket had a low armhole and I wore it for years. The bunching was real when I reached up, but I got used to it. The freedom to layer a fleece underneath mattered more to me than a perfect fit. I just needed a coat that worked for my day, not one that looked perfect standing still. That extra room made it useful.

inWarning: My neighbor's old dryer taught me a lesson about assumptions
Yeah that wheel bearing story is a real wake up call. I had a similar thing with a clunking sound I ignored on my old truck. Turned out to be a loose control arm, and the whole thing just dropped on me while I was pulling into a parking lot. Cost me way more than if I'd just checked it out when I first heard it.

Extra weight" is the trade-off. You get the speed but you pay for it.

inJust saw a full page ad for a freelance tax service in the back of a coffee shop magazine
Honestly @violag80, a whole service just for separate bank accounts? That feels like a solution looking for a problem. I just use two folders in my filing cabinet, one for each main client. The custom spreadsheet person is kind of funny though, like how hard is it to make your own columns for hours and pay?
