Wait you turned down brake jobs because the rotors were still good? That's wild.

Good for you, that integrity pays off down the road. I did the same thing at a shop years ago when they wanted to skip steps on a timing belt job. It cost me a sale right then, but that customer told so many people they became my best source of new work. Being known as the honest guy might not make you rich fast, but it lets you sleep well at night and builds a real business.

Exactly what @grant155 said. I turned down a bunch of quick brake jobs last year because the rotors were still in spec and didn't need replacing. Lost some easy money right then, but those folks came back later for bigger work and sent their friends. Building that kind of trust is way better than a fast buck.

That trust thing Dylan mentioned builds real money later.
