Was dead set against carbon dating claims until a dig in Arizona proved me wrong
After 20 years in the field I was convinced those dates were always off by centuries, but a 2023 excavation near Tucson matched three separate lab results to within 50 years and I had to admit I was wrong.

Fiona, you and me both - I was ready to eat my hat but ended up just eating crow instead. Guess that's what happens when you actually look at the data instead of just grumbling about it.

Totally get where you're coming from Fiona, it's wild when the data actually backs up something you were skeptical about. I've been there with a few tech claims at work, like when everyone swore a certain update was gonna break everything but it actually ran smoother. Takes a minute to wrap your head around it, right? Feels like we're all just shrugging and admitting the evidence won this round. It's a weird but kinda nice feeling when you can just say "okay, you got me" and move on.
