I thought my 2019 Subaru's 30,000 mile service was a scam, then the mechanic showed me the fluid
Back in February I took my car to a shop in Boise for the 30,000 mile service and the guy quoted me $410, which felt like a lot for what I assumed was just an oil change and some inspections. He pulled the brake fluid and it was dark brown with visible junk floating in it, and the transmission fluid smelled burnt, so I let him do the work and the car shifted smoother on the drive home. Has anyone here actually skipped the 30k service and regretted it, or is it one of those things that depends on how you drive?
