Found out my 1920s bungalow has no insulation in the walls

I was digging into a plaster repair in my living room and noticed the wall cavity was completely empty. Turns out a lot of older Atlanta homes don't have any wall insulation, which explains my $250 electric bills in July. Anybody else run into this with their old house?

Did you look at the insulation type in the attic too? I'm wondering if it's just the walls that are empty or if the whole place is basically open to the elements.

Did you check if there's knob and tube wiring in those walls too? A lot of old bungalows have that and you can't really add insulation over it without a fire risk.

Scream if you find knob and tube up there @daniel_cooper34 cause that stuff is basically a time bomb waiting to toast your whole house.
