Just paid $380 for a roof quote that missed a whole section

Had a roofer out in Decatur last Tuesday, he walked the place for 20 minutes and quoted me for the main house only. I caught it when I checked the back porch cover myself, that's a 30 foot span he skipped. Anyone else had contractors miss obvious areas just to keep the number low?

Back porch cover, 30 foot span, and you're surprised he didn't quote it? That's not a hidden section, that's pretty much a whole other building attached to your house. He walked the place in 20 minutes, that's your first clue he wasn't doing a deep dive. You paid $380 to catch an obvious thing yourself. Sounds like you got what you paid for. Maybe next time ask them to walk every part before they start writing numbers down.
